Customer-focused Technical Team Established

In a move to service customers better and to ensure greater efficiencies, Adcock Ingram Critical Care (AICC) has proudly launched the Adco Tech division to focus on technical support for internal and external customers alike.

The newly formed Adco Tech team has been established to primarily service equipment supplied by AICC to external customers, such as government hospitals and clinics as well as private sector facilities. The equipment supplied to these customers is instrumental in the use of the critical care products supplied by AICC, such as infusion pumps for delivery of intravenous solutions (drips); dialysis machines for renal dialysis and equipment used by the South African National Blood Services (SANBS).

“We need to keep these life-saving machines in tip-top condition,” say Stephan Pretorius, newly appointed Technical Services Manager and head of the Adco Tech division. “Reliability and continuous operation of all equipment are essential for our customers in their daily delivery of healthcare. Previously AICC contracted out the servicing of the equipment to a third party, but the new team is now hands on and working directly with the customers and ensuring the highest level of maintenance resulting in greater customer satisfaction,” he continued.

The Adco Teach team includes engineers and technicians, all well trained and experienced in this field. The team works in a dedicated and refurbished area where the servicing of equipment takes place to the highest standards.

It is clear that Stephan is confident regarding the service his team is offering: “I am very excited to the a part of the pioneering of this state-of-the-art technical service centre that will contribute to the current ‘value add’ experience that Adcock Ingram strives to offer. Colin Sheen, Managing Director of AICC, saw the opportunity for this division. “We saw a need for this dedicated in-house service in order for us to ensure the most efficient operation of the equipment we supply and to improve and grow our customer relationships,” Colin commented. “I believe that we have made the right decision in establishing this division as we already see the cost efficiencies being achieved and are pleased to see heightened customer satisfaction.
